Good morning friends....
I hope you have all come from Rosys Sweet Delights Blog .. This is the Back To School Blog Hop being hosted by Sarah at Pink Cricut .. that is where you should start on the hop, as well as finish after you are done here at my blog! There are lots of goodies along the way and you must visit all the blogs to be entered to win the Happy Haunting Cricut Cartridge from Memory Miser who is sponsoring this blog hop. Thanks Memory Miser, and also to Sarah at Pink Cricut!
Well, it's that time of year again.. time to start thinking about back to school shopping, organizing and planning! The kids are getting restless.. the teachers almost back in the classrooms, and parents have paper, pens and glue on the brain!
I have created a 12 by 12 layout for the "First Day' back at school. As well as an inspiration card for a college aged female heading back to the dorms in a few weeks time..
For the layout I used some Wild Saffron paper by K&Co.. as well as Bazill cardstock, with matching "First Day" chipboard stickers in Wild Saffron as well.. I used my Martha Stewart punches to create the birds and the tree/flowers. Some smaller pieces of Amy Butler papers and lots of colorful buttons! I hand stamped the school sign and found a "live laugh love" border sticker to stretch across the page.. the grass is Scenic Route paper cut up and distressed with some Staz-On inks. I have yet to add the picture of my son and some additional journaling, but I did leave room for it.
The card I made was created again out of Bazill cardstock. I used a K&Co adhesive "Handmade" sheet of paper on the front and added a "Dream Big" sticker from the Amy Butler "Sola" collection. The sticker inside is also the Sola collection and reads "The best way to predict your future is to create it".. by Peter Drucker.
I hope you enjoyed my projects... and hopefully they have inspired you to make something for the Back To School season! ...I have some blog candy to give away.. in order to be eligible to WIN these items.. you need to first go up to my google followers and please follow my blog! Then simply make a comment on this post about what your most favourite paper/craft supply item is. Whatever it is that you just couldn't live without in your craft space... let me know ;) Please also leave an email or web address so that I can get ahold of you if you are the winner chosen by random.org. This drawing will take place on Monday Aug 9th.
The blog candy to WIN is an 8 by 8 package of Fancypants Rub-Ons "French Market", a package of "Forever" clear border stamps by Autumn Leaves, a package of "Wholy Cow" Rub-Ons by Basic Grey, 2 small packages of Studio G clear stamps with cupcakes and thank you sentiments, and a permanent glue runner by Ad tech. Remember to follow the 2 steps above to be entered to win...
Thanks for playing along... and remember to head back to Sarah at Pink Cricut to finish off your blog hop!!
Good luck, and have a great day!!
Ashley..

The card is great as I have one of those children;) Other than paper, obviously, I think the tool I really use most and couldn't live without are my scissors. I don't think I've ever completed a project without using them at least once.
ReplyDeleteThanks.

Fabulous work on the layout. I love those trees and the colours are gorgeous. I think my favourite crafting item would be my scissors. You can't really do much without a good pair of those! Keep up the great work =)
